Longtime O’Brien Clerk Of Court To Step Down

November 22, 2014

(Primghar)—The longtime Clerk of Court in O’Brien county will be stepping down this coming March. Jeff Roos will be retiring from the position he’s held since January of 1981.

District judges of the 3A judicial election sub-district have designated Laurie Janssen to the position upon Roos’ retirement. Janssen has been Clerk of Court in Clay county since 2009. She grew up on a farm near Lake Park and attended technical school in Jackson where she graduated from the court reporter program. She worked six years in a Lakefield law office and began working in the Clay County Clerk of Court’s office in July, 1988.
