Iowaroadconditions.org and 511 on your cellular phone will get you the latest road conditions from the Iowa State Patrol. Maintain a safe speed for the conditions and never use your cruise control when slick roads are a factor.”
Kurtz says now is also a good time to prepare a winter survival kit for each vehicle you own…(click here for comment.) “Items that should be included are blankets, coats, bottled water, high energy snacks, a flash light, cell phone charger or battery, a candle, matches, a tin can and a red flag.”
Kurtz also reminds everyone to make sure your vehicle has been winterized.
