(Des Moines)– The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board has given the green light to a proposed expansion of a Spencer company.
The board Thursday approved a $200,000 low-interest loan to assist Simonsen Iron Works.
As we reported Thursday, the company plans to acquire a company in South Dakota that manufactures skid steer attachments, relocating those operations to Spencer.
Company officials say the project, which has a price tag of just under a million dollars, will bring 41 jobs with it paying about $37,000 annually.
