(Spirit Lake)– 13 area high school jazz bands participated this past Saturday in the Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Band Festival in Spirit Lake.
The Spirit Lake High School jazz band, directed by Jody Ingwersen, received a Division One Superior rating; Graettinger-Terril High School jazz band, directed by Tyler Pedersen, and Harris-Lake Park High School jazz band, directed by Jeremy Britton, received Division Two-Excellent ratings.
The next performance by the bands will be at the Iowa Lakes Jazz Band Contest January 24th and 25th.
