(Spirit Lake)– No injuries were reported in a fire this (Thurs.) morning at Cutty’s Resort on West Lake Okoboji.
Spirit Lake Fire Chief David Kollasch tells KUOO news firefighters were called around 9:30 a.m. to a two-story condominium-type building just south of the resort’s main facility. Upon arriving he says heavy smoke could be seen coming from the structure. Firefighters managed to quickly put out the fire.
Fire this (Thurs.) morning damaged two rooms in this building at Cutty’s Resort.
Kollasch says the State Fire Marshall determined the cause was electrical in nature. He says the fire itself was contained to a lower level bedroom, but another bedroom above it sustained some smoke damage.
Firefighters were on the scene a couple of hours.
