(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop in Clay county landed a Peterson man in jail on traffic and drug charges.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Michael Lindgren shortly before midnight Saturday in Peterson.

Upon further investigation, the deputy located a small amount of methamphetamine in Lindgren’s vehicle.

Lindgren was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of driving under suspension…a simple misdemeanor; and possession of a controlled substance…2nd offense…an aggravated misdemeanor.
