(Spencer)—A Rossie man faces domestic abuse and drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to 120 2nd avenue in Rossie yesterday after getting a report from a female at that residence stating that she had been pushed and that a man had thrown something through a window. She also told authorities the man had firearms in the residence.
Upon arriving deputies determined 35-year-old Corey Hofmeyer had allegedly struck Bucholz in the face. He was arrested and taken to jail without incident.
Upon further investigation, authorities obtained a search warrant. The subsequent search resulted in them finding what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia.
Hofmeyer was charged with domestic abuse assault and possession of drug paraphernalia…both simple misdemeanors.
He was being held in jail pending an initial court appearance.
