(Spencer)– A traffic stop Friday in the 300 block of 11th Street Southwest in Spencer landed two Storm Lake men in jail on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 9:20 p.m. when a deputy pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation. The deputy noticed two open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Further investigation resulted in them finding what’s alleged to be a controlled substance.
21-year-old David Martinez and 18-year-old Rey Martinez of Storm Lake were arrested and booked into jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor. David Martinez was also wanted on a Buena Vista county warrant for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
