Administrator At St. Luke Homes And Services Announces Retirement

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– The administrator of St. Luke’s Home and Services in Spencer says he’ll be stepping down at the end of the month.

Terry Dandy announced this (Thurs.) morning he’ll be retiring on March 31st.

Dandy is only the third administrator at the facility. He’s been the leading force behind expansion of the continuing care retirement community in Spencer since March 1990.

He oversaw the opening of The Highlands in August, 1991 and Riverview Terrace Assisted Living Residence in April, 1999.

St. Luke Lutheran Home opened its doors to the public Feb. 6, 1967. The Lee Holt Center for Adult Day Service was added to the campus’ mix originally at St. Luke Lutheran Home; it was later transferred to the Riverview Terrace Assisted Living Residence. The space hosting Lee Holt Center for Adult Day Service was remodeled in January 2010, creating an assisted living apartment, a nurse center and a break room at Riverview Terrace Assisted Living.
