Rock Valley-The Sioux County Sheriff’s Offices executed a search warrant on Monday, March 11 at 5 p.m. at a residence northeast of Rock Valley. The investigation stemmed from a Text-a-tip complaint received by the Sheriff’s Office.
The tip implied that a person at the residence was illegally possessing firearms and ammuntion.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Joseph DeSmet, age 41 of Rock Valley for possession of firearms as a convicted felon.
