(Spencer)—Two people were injured Friday when a car and a tractor collided in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 84-year-old Alma Donkersloot of Sanborn was northbound on County Road M-50 when she collided with the rear of a tractor driven by 57-year-old Patrick Jones of rural Spencer.
Donkersloot and a passenger in her vehicle, Carol Baumgarn, were both taken to Spencer Hospital. Baumgarn was treated for a fractured right leg; Donkersloot was treated and released. Jones was treated on the scene.
A 2013 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Donkersloot was totaled; minor damage was reported to a 1997 John Deere tractor Jones was driving.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Dickens Fire and Rescue, Spencer Fire and Rescue and the Spencer EMT’s.
The collision took place shortly after 7:00 p.m. Friday.
