Dickinson County Supervisors Proceed With Plans For New Shop In Milford

November 22, 2014

(Milford)—Dickinson county is moving ahead with plans to build a new road maintenance shop in Milford.

The Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved a proposal to retain Christensen Brothers Construction of Estherville for $12,000 to serve as a consultant on the project. The firm will assist the county in preparing the project for bids.

Plans call for the new facility, which may also house an office and storage space for the County’s Conservation Board, to be located on land the county owns on County Road A-34 on the east edge of Milford.

County Engineer Dan Eckert told the supervisors the goal is to have the shell of the new building up before the ground freezes this coming fall.

Funding for the project is included in the road department’s budget.
