(Rock Valley)—A single vehicle crash yesterday (Thurs.) on Highway 18 near Rock Valley injured two people from Spencer.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 63-year-old Dennis Miles of Spencer was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban northbound when he lost control. The vehicle went into the east ditch where it struck a creek embankment.
Miles and a passenger, 61-year-old Doreen Findling of Spencer, sustained minor injuries. Both declined immediate medical attention at the scene and sought treatment on their own.
About $7,000 in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
Miles was cited for failure to maintain control and defective tires.
The crash took place shortly after 9:30 a.m.
