SL Schools To Serve As Regional Host For State Large Group Music Festival

(Spirit Lake)—Spirit Lake High School will be a regional host for the Iowa High School Music Association State Large Group Music Festival this Friday, May 3rd, from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Over 1,000 students in 34 concert bands, orchestras and choirs from seven northwest Iowa schools will be participating. The bands and orchestras will perform in the Sami Center; the choirs will perform in the Middle School gym.

Participating schools include Bishop Heelan Catholic out of Sioux City, Le Mars, Maurice-Orange City-Floyd Valley, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, Spencer, Spirit Lake and Storm Lake.

The public is welcome to attend. The cost is $5 for adults; $3 for students in grades K-12.
