(Spirit Lake)—A traffic stop early this (Fri.) morning in Spirit Lake landed an Estherville woman in jail on drug charges.
Spirit Lake police say an officer pulled over a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee shortly before 2:30 a.m. Upon investigating it was determined that the driver, 20-year-old Chelsie Wycoff of Estherville, was allegedly in possession of alcohol under the legal age. A further investigation and subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in officers finding a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Wycoff was arrested and booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana…1st offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; operating while intoxicated; and possession of alcohol under the legal age.
