(Undated)—The U.S. Small Business Administration is making available federal disaster loans to certain private, nonprofit organizations as part of a federal disaster declaration in five northwest Iowa counties.
The SBA disaster assistance is available in Dickinson, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola and Sioux counties. Those who are eligible should register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency which will determine qualification for either a grant through the agency’s Public Assistance program or referral to the SBA for a low-interest federal disaster loan.

The low interest loans have terms extending up to 30 years. The filing deadline for property damage is this coming July 5th. The deadline to return economic injury applications is February 6th, 2014.
