(Orange City)—Two northwest Iowa men face charges for the alleged trafficking of stolen firearms.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Skyler Gonnerman of Sioux Center was arrested on the charge around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
A second suspect, 20-year-old Dakota Acevedo of Rock Rapids, has also been charged. He’s currently being held in jail in another county on unrelated charges, pending transport to Sioux county.
Authorities say the arrests and charge stems from a report of stolen guns being sold in January of this year.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Sheldon and Sioux Center Police Departments.
