(Spencer)—A Greenville man sustained minor injuries Tuesday after losing control of a semi tractor pulling a trailer loaded with hay.
The Iowa State Patrol says 71-year-old Gene Chapman of Greenville was driving the rig westbound on Clay County B19 at the curve with 240th Avenue when he lost control. The tractor/trailer went into the north ditch and rolled onto its side.
Chapman was treated on the scene for minor injuries and released.
Damage to the tractor/trailer was put at $5,000.
Chapman was cited for failure to maintain control.
The mishap took place shortly after 10:00 a.m.
