(Undated)—Two more lakes area communities will be holding clean-up days next week.
The city of Okoboji will hold its annual clean up day on Monday, June 10th; cleanup day in Orleans will be held this coming Thursday, June 13th.
Residents of both cities are asked to have items placed at the curb by no later than 7:00 a.m. on the respective day of the clean up. Planks and boards should be cut not to exceed six feet in length. Hazardous items, including batteries, paint, insecticide cans will not be picked up.
Tags are required for all appliances, tv’s and computer monitors, as well as mattresses, box springs, stuffed furniture and tires. In Okoboji, tags can be purchased at city hall during regular office hours.
In Orleans, tags can be purchased tomorrow (Sat.) at city hall from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon. Tags may also be obtained by contacting Mayor Bill Maas.
Residents of lakes area cities are also reminded that tags to dispose of the above mentioned items are available year-round…not just during clean up day.
Anyone with questions should contact their appropriate city hall or city official.
