(Windom, Mn.)—A head-on crash last (Tues.) evening on Highway 62 west of Windom claimed a life.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 24-year-old Cody Falk of St. James was driving a 2011 Ford super duty truck eastbound while the driver of the other vehicle, who was killed in the crash, was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus westbound. Troopers say the two collided head-on in the westbound lane.
The name of the victim hasn’t been released pending notification of family.
Falk and a passenger in his vehicle, 20-year-old Nathan Gisch of Mountain Lake, were both transported by ambulance to the Windom Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The collision took place shortly after 6:00 p.m.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, the Windom Police Department, Windom ambulance, the Windom Fire Department, the Heron Lake Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
