Spencer man sentenced to Federal Prison on drug charges

A Spencer man has been sentenced to Federal Prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. 
According to the U. S. Attorney’s Office, Gabriel Ginger, age 26 of Spencer, received the prison term by U.S. District Court Judge Donald E. O’Brien  in Sioux City following a guilty plea.

Ginger admitted his involvement in a conspiracy from 2010 through August of 2011 that distributed more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.  On July 21, 2011, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at Ginger’s residence and seized over 10 grams of the drug. 

He was sentenced to 120 months imprisonment, with no parole.  Ginger is being held in the U.S. Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.
