Owen Larson, a former Estherville Lincoln Central and South Dakota State athlete, is taking his talents to Drake University in Des Moines. This past season at SDSU, Owen started 29 games and averaged just over 9 points and 4 rebounds a game. He was injured late in the year that ended his season. He loved his time at South Dakota State.
When Iowa hired Ben McCollum, Drake was looking for a new head coach. SDSU coach Eric Henderson took the job at Drake and Owen decided to follow him and return back to Iowa.
Owen is still recovering from his ACL injury but hopes to be ready in October or November before the season starts at Drake. Listen to full interview below.
