Edda Minter, 87, of Okoboji, IA, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, IA. Online condolences may be left at www.spiritlakefuneralhome.com
Edda was born on December 28, 1938, to Emilie Boettcher in Kiel, Germany. She graduated from Pipestone High School in 1958. She was a mother first and foremost dedicating her time to raising her three children. She also worked for several years for Hy Vee as a Clerk. She was united in marriage to Dean Minter on September 19, 2000.
Edda was a member of the Immanual Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, reading and Dancing with Dean.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Scott (Linda) Carstensen of Hartley, IA; Carrie (Dan) Grapevine of Brandon, SD; and Steven (Tammie) Carstensen of Lincoln, NE; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her sister Gunda Blazevich of Sioux Falls, SD.
