U.S. Congressman Randy Feenstra Files To Run For Iowa Governor

(Des Moines)– U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra of Hull is running for Iowa Governor. Feenstra today (Mon.) filed papers with the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board indicating his intent to run for the seat as a Republican in 2026.

Several other Republicans have also been expressing an interest in a run for Governor, including Attorney General Brenna Bird, Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and State Senator Mike Bousselot of Ankeny. House Speaker Pat Grassley and state Representative Bobby Kaufmann have also expressed some interest.

In a related development, State Auditor Rob Sand officially announced he’s running as a Democrat for Governor.

Governor Kim Reynolds’ announced last month that she will not be seeking another term in office.
