Two Southern Mn. Men Face Theft, Burglary Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Theft and burglary charges have been filed against two southern Minnesota men following an investigation by Clay county authorities into a report of people trying to sell stolen property.

The sheriff’s office says a subsequent investigation into the complaint received December 30th from Shine Brothers in Spencer resulted in the arrests of two suspects. 21-year-old Daniel Covey and 31-year-old Jason Earlywine…both of Waseca, Minnesota…were charged with two counts of felony theft in the second degree and felony burglary in the third degree. Both men were booked into the Clay county jail.

In Addition, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for the two men on December 30th. Both men were still being held in the Clay county jail. An additional $10,000 bond for each was then issed as a result of the additional charges out of Sac county.
