(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says charges have been filed against two boys believed to be responsible for damaging 11 trash cans recently in Greenville.
Deputies say it stems from a call they received December 30th from a Greenville resident who saw a vehicle hit a trash can. The caller gave authorities a license plate number and a deputy located the suspect vehicle a short time later.
A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of two juvenile males from Spencer who were cited for criminal mischief in the fourth degree and reckless driving.
Total damage to the trash cans was estimated at $500.
