Time To Purchase Tickets For Clay County Fair Charitable Trust Fundraiser Quickly Winding Down

April 25, 2025 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– The deadline to purchase tickets for the Farm to Fork FUNdraiser is this coming Monday, April 28th. Jason Brockshus of the Clay County Fair says the event itself will be held Saturday, May 3rd at the Clay County Regional Events Center…

“A couple of things we really want to get across is that this event is really to highlight the awesome work that our chef can do. So our meal is going to be highlighted with a filet mignon and a chocolate fondu fountain which I am very excited about. Food really is the focus, but the reason we’re getting together is to raise funds the Clay County Fair Charitable Trust. Now the trust does the things that aren’t so glamorous on the fairgrounds. They help fund new roofs on buildings, new water lines, power lines, and drainage, all the stuff behind the scene you don’t always see, but really what enables us to have a great county fair each September, so that’s where the funds go. The funds all go to help support the Clay County Fair.”

Tickets are $100 per person or $1,000 to sponsor a table, which includes seating for eight…

“Go to Clay County Fair-dot-com. Go to events coming up, it will be Farm to Fork will be one of those things. Click on that and that will take you to a ticket link right there. One highlight of the evening, also, to highlight some things we’ve done, is some local 4-H groups have been doing a lot of work on the 4-H Building on the grounds and the fair part, we put a new roof on the building but the groups are really renovating the whole inside of that building and keeping it updated. You know, that building is over 50 years old so it needed some love and those groups are really doing a nice job of that and we partnered with them to keep that facility up and going for 4-H members to use all throughout the year.”

Local youth involved in those programs will also be speaking at the May 3rd event.
