(Arnolds Park)– Recent frigid weather is a delight for organizers of this year’s University of Okoboji Winter Games.
Jen Johnson of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says ice conditions are continuing to rapidly thicken and improve on most of Smith’s Bay, where the majority of the events will be going on. As a result, she says there are still no plans as of right now to move anything.
Even colder temperatures and what could even be the first significant winter storm of the season are in the forecast. Forecasters say 3-5 inches of snow could fall on the Iowa Great Lakes late tonight (Thurs.) and Friday.
