“Give it a shot. I like being competitive so the CDE’s and LDE’s really help out and just working with the team, and jotting down these skills I realized how much I’ve gained from SAE and how much I gained from the organization itself and the opportunities and people I’ve met across the country. The people I’m going to college with I now know more of them because of the FFA.”“FFA can apply to kids even if they aren’t living on the farm. They don’t have livestock, they might not be in an agriculture situation. It can still apply to them. They can still learn a lot of knowledge and stuff like that. The CDE’s and LDE’s are a great way to meet people, network and get yourself out there a lot. I know I’ve met a lot of great people that I wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for FFA. I’ve also seen a large increase in a variety of skills, my communications skills, my organizational skills. Those have all increased because of FFA.”
