SL Kiwanis Again Sponsoring Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships

(Spirit Lake)– Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships will be held in Dickinson County on May 16th at the Spirit Lake High School track. Kiley Zankowski of the Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis Club says the day will be filled with fun…

“This event is such a fun way for kids to get out and compete. Get them introduced to track and field and just have a really fun time. Its fun for them to set goals or just come out and compete to have fun and what we all enjoy is just watching them all have a blast and their families cheer them on.”

The Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the event which is open to all boys and girls ages 7 to 12. Zankowski says there will be a variety of events the kids can participate in…

“We will have both the long jump and the softball throw for all age categories and then different running events from the 50 meter dash all the way up to the 400 meter dash and of course the group favorites of the relay as well.” 

Registration deadline is May 9th and you can register online at livehealthyiowakidstrack.org. Late registrations will not be accepted. First and second place athletes in the meet will advance to the state championships in Clear Lake on Saturday June 14th.
