(Spirit Lake)– Eight area high school jazz bands participated this past Saturday in the Iowa High School Music Association’s State Jazz Band Festival.
The Spirit Lake High School jazz band, directed by Jody Ingwersen, received a Division One-Superior rating and the Harris-Lake Park High School jazz band, directed by Jeremy Britton, received a Division Two-Excellent rating.
The next performance by the bands will be at the Iowa Lakes Jazz Band Contest Wednesday, January 25th.
