Sioux County Man Sentenced For Leaving Treatment Facility

(Orange City)– A 24-year-old man has been given five more years in prison for escaping from a residential treatment facility in northwest Iowa.

The Sioux County Attorney’s Office says Tristan Schulz was sentenced Monday.

Schulz left without permission from the Sheldon facility October 23rd and was listed as escaped. Schulz was returned to custody on November 18th.

His five-year sentence for escape will be served after his original five-year sentence for burglary.
