(Ireton)– A Sibley man was injured Friday in a two vehicle collision near Ireton in Sioux county. Authorities say 19-year-old Briggs Friedmann of Orange City was driving a 2017 Ram southbound on Eagle Avenue and 24-year-old Alec Jensen of Sibley was driving a 2010 Nissan westbound on Highway 10. An accident report says Friedmann failed to stop for a stop sign and the two vehicles collided. Both drivers were taken to hospitals.
$25,000 in damage was estimated to the Ram driven by Friedmann; the Nissan driven by Jensen sustained an estimated $12,500 in damage.
The collision took place a little after 10:00 am.
