(Superior)– A semi fire Tuesday afternoon shut down a portion of Highway 9 at Superior.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called a little after 1:30 pm to the intersection of 320th Avenue and Highway 9 on the west side of Superior. Upon arriving they found the cab of the semi completely engulfed. The driver managed to get out unharmed and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire. They were on the scene about an hour.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol assisted on the scene.
