(Peterson)– Two people were arrested this past Sunday on drug charges after the Clay County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on a residence in Peterson. The Sheriff’s Office says the warrant was obtained based on information they received of illicit drug use that allegedly occurred the previous day with a minor present. Deputies found multiple items used for the ingestion of various controlled substances, along with items used for the sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
46-year-old Ryan Warden and 19-year-old Dyce Warden, both of Peterson, were arrested on the scene. They were each charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ryan Warden was additionally charged with distributing drugs to a person under 18-years-old, possession with intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine and theft in the 3rd degree.
Both were booked into the Clay county jail.
Authorities say a 15-year-old male who was on the scene at the time was turned over to the custody of DHS officials.
Authorities say the investigation continues and that more charges are pending.
