(Lake Crystal, Mn.)– If you travel on Highway 60 to get to Mankato or the Twin Cities, you should know your trip is going to take little bit longer this summer. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says road construction in Lake Crystal is resulting in a detour, which is now in place. MnDOT says it only adds three miles and a few minutes to the trip. It starts near Madelia and meets back up with Highway 60 just south of Mankato. MnDOT says the detour will remain in place through the summer and into the fall.
