(Lakefield, Mn.)– There’s been an increased presence in law enforcement today (Thurs.) at the Jackson County Central Middle School in Lakefield. In a notification to patrons, JCC officials say they were made aware of a threat against the school Wednesday evening.
The statement goes on to say JCC officials have been working closely with law enforcement to investigate the matter, and that there is no immediate threat to students or staff. It also states the district is following established protocols; that all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure continued safety; and that updates would be provided when any new information becomes available.
Classes are being held as usual at the Jackson County Central Middle School.
