Reins Of Hope Holding A Fundraiser This Weekend

(Spirit Lake)– Reins of Hope of Spencer will be hosting a bingo fundraiser on Saturday at the Spirit Lake VFW. Charlene Ackerman, the Vice President of Reins of Hope, says they offer special equine assisted activities to disabled youth in the region…

“Reins of Hope is a non-profit organization out of Spencer Iowa and we work with youth from 2 to 18 with disabilities with the ability to connect with the horse and play some games and activities while on horseback.”

Ackerman adds they’re accepting applications for their spring session…

“The best way to get a hold of us is by visiting our website which is reinsofhopespencer. All of the information about our organization as well as volunteer applications or participant applications can be found on our website. We are accepting participant applications through April 15th for this spring’s session.”

The bingo fundraiser is on Saturday at the Spirit Lake VFW and it costs $21 to participate. Prizes for each game are worth $50 to $210.  There will also be a raffle and a silent auction. The doors will open at 5:30 and bingo will start at 6:00
