(Spirit Lake)– A judge has granted a defense motion for a psychiatric evaluation for a Spirit Lake man accused in a shooting earlier this spring in Montgomery. Caleb Crosby was charged with attempted murder and theft in the 1st degree in connection with the incident in early May.
An additional charge of escape from custody was filed against Crosby after he tried to make a run for it while being transferred to another area of the Dickinson county jail on June 1st.
