Possible Injuries Reported In Hwy 18 Crash

(Everly)– Possible injuries were reported Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 18 in Clay county.

The Iowa State Patrol says 24-year-old Neave Ruiz of everly was driving a 2001 GMC Yukon westbound when she lost control on the icy road. The vehicle left the road and went into the ditch. Troopers say the impact of the crash caused the vehicle’s frame to bend.

Ruiz complained of right shoulder and elbow discomfort, saying she bumped her head during impact.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

The crash took place around 5:00 p.m.
