Pickup Recovered From Loon Lake Believed To Have Been Stolen

November 22, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)– Authorities say a pickup that was apparently stolen from Sherburn in the past few days has been recovered after being partially submerged in Loon Lake.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call shortly before 11:00 this (Fri.) morning regarding a pickup partially submerged in Loon Lake near Robertson Park.
Upon arriving, deputies found a partially submerged 2009 Dodge pickup about 100 yards of the park’s shelter house. Authorities say tracks could be seen going from near the shelter house down an embankment and into the lake.

The incident remains under investigation.

An estimate of damage to the pickup wasn’t immediately available.
