A funeral service for Hans Tegtmeier, 84, of Spirit Lake, will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 2-7pm with the family present from 5-7pm, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.

Hans passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mark E. Brown

Mark E. Brown passed away unexpectedly in Sioux Falls, SD on February 16, 2021. He was 58 years old. Mark was the 5th son born to Walter and Noreen Brown at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge.

A funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family.

Mark is survived by his brothers, John "Jack" (Roxie) Brown of Round Rock, TX, Gregory (Pam McBride) Brown of Fort Dodge, Matthew (Cindy) Brown of Fort Dodge, life partner of 23 years, Irma (Wiemers) Schaffer of Spirit Lake, and her two daughters, Rebecca Kojak and Melissa Galloway, 7 nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter F. Brown and Noreen M. Brown, brother, Kevin Brown and nephew, Austin Brown. 

Mark Ernest Brown was born March 29, 1962. He attended Fort Dodge Catholic Schools graduating in 1980. He furthered his education at Iowa State University, graduating with a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering during the William Robert Parks era. Mark worked as a project designer charged with overseeing the design and construction of many projects for the state of Nebraska. Road design and bridges were his main focus initially but he had a very diverse portfolio to his credit. He spent 13 years working in Nebraska. He continued his journey by working for private firms in Mason City, Council Bluffs and then onto Phoenix, AZ where he expanded his career in housing development before retiring in Spirit Lake. 

Mark enjoyed spending time at his properties in Spirit Lake and Royal in addition to sharing his time with Irma. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed attending concerts and taking his nieces and nephews to his cherished Iowa State Cyclones football and basketball games. Mark had a great affection for sports. He was a member of Teener League baseball and also played with a championship baseball team for the Saint Edmond Gaels. He also played basketball and participated in the Fort Dodge City Softball League. 

Mark made a profound impact in many peoples lives that were not left unnoticed. He lived life to the fullest. He will always be remembered for his huge smile and devotion to his friends and family.

Scott Olson, 59, of Jackson, Minnesota, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2021 at the Avera Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A private family Celebration of Life Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson with Pastor Matthew Garavalia officiating.

The service will be live streamed on the Osterberg Funeral Home Facebook page. The family encourages the public attend the service via the livestream.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial gifts to Donate Life and Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in loving memory of Scott.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Lois Crane, 88 of Milford will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford.  Visitation for Lois will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford.  The visitation will begin Thursday with a rosary at 5 p.m.  The family requests you wear a mask.

Lois passed away Sunday, February 21. 2021 at Lakes Regional Healthcare.
