(Spencer)– No injuries were reported in a head-on collision late Monday afternoon southeast of Fostoria.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 57-year-old Rodney Nothwehr of Storm Lake was driving a 2024 Ford pickup westbound in the 2600 mile of 300th Street and 41-year-old Jimenez Martin of Saint James, Minnesota was driving a 2010 GMC Sierra eastbound. Deputies say the vehicle driven by Martin drifted into the westbound lane, colliding head-on with the pickup driven by Nothwehr.
Martin was arrested and booked into jail on charges of operating while intoxicated…2nd offense, and driving without a valid driver’s license. Both vehicles were totaled.
The collision took place shortly after 4:00 pm.
