(Estherville)– Two instructors at Iowa Lakes Community College were recognized earlier this week for their excellence in education, leadership, and service.
Carol Ayres Stueven, a professor of instrumental music and jazz band at Iowa Lakes, was presented with the Outstanding Faculty Award. She has been at ILCC since 1988.
Also honored was Tim Ireland. He received the Oustanding Staff Award. Ireland is the Director of the Iowa Lakes Veterans Centers. He has a distinguished 38-year military career with the Iowa Army National Guard and the Air National Guard, including five years as a Chief Master Sergeant. Ireland also oversees the Veterans Center Mentor Program at Iowa Lakes.
The awards were presented Wednesday during the 2nd Annual Convention and Tradeshow hosted by Community Colleges in Iowa.
