(Lake Park)– A new Coordinator has been selected for the Silver Lake Watershed project.
Catherine Sereg was recently named to the position. SHe has relocated to the area from Des Moines.
Sereg is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in environmental science.
The Silver Lake Watershed project works with both urban and rural communities in reducing soil erosion and improving water quality in and around Silver Lake. It involves several cost sharing programs, such as grassed waterways, the Conservation Reserve Program and the Environmental Quality Investives Program, among others.
