(Jackson, Mn.)– The Minnesota Department of Transportation will conduct a prescribed burn along I-90 west of Jackson on Wednesday, March 26. Motorists may see smoke in that area but the eastbound I-90 Clear Lake and the westbound I-90 Des Moines River rest areas will remain open. Signs will warn drivers of smoke, and they should slow down and watch for crews.
MnDOT officials say the prescribed burns provide optimal vegetation health. Prescribed burns are scheduled during optimal weather conditions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
