Man Charged For Allegedly Having Contraband In Correctional Facility

(Sheldon)– An Ocheyedan man faces a charge for having contraband in a correctional facility.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Troy Harris was arrested back on November 17th on the charge, which is a class “D” felony.

Authorities say a search conducted by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office at the Department of Corrections Residential Treatment Facility in Sheldon turned up a device used for smoking illegal drugs. The device was found in a ceiling air vent.
