(Estherville)– A reduction in the speed limit is in the works for a small portion of Highway 4 on the north side of Estherville.
The City Council Monday evening approved the first consideration of a revised ordinance that would lower the speed limit in the area of Maplecrest Drive to 30 mph. It stems from a concern over safety with a recreational trail that crosses at the intersection.
The matter will need to come back to the council at their next meeting for further consideration and possible adoption.
