(Jackson, Mn.)– Jackson County Central Community Schools has announced plans for their Summer Lunch Program.
Food Service Director Randy Masad says the district will be serving lunch along with a snack at Riverside Elementary for JCC students. He says the program will begin Monday, June 9th, and will continue through Friday August 1st. Lunch will be served from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. Meals will NOT be served on Thursday, June 19th and Friday, July 4th.
Masad says any JCC student that was qualified for free/reduced meals during the 2024/2025 school year will eat at no cost. For those students classified as paying students, the charge for lunch is $5.50 per meal and the charge for snacks is $1.80.
He adds the meals will be packed in carryout containers so they can be eaten off-site if desired. Masad says one lunch meal and snack will be served per day.
