Interviews Underway For New Economic Development Director In Jackson

June 12, 2025

(Jackson, Mn.)– Interviews for a new Economic Development Director are underway in Jackson. City Administrator Jim Langborg says interviews are being held today (Thurs.) with two finalists for the position. He says those interviews are being conducted by four different panels…

“One that’s made up of city council members; we’ll have one that’s made up of EDA personnel, current personnel as well as myself; we’ll have another of city staff people, in particular our liquor store because we know that of any department in the city that’s our closest related to an actual business; and then we’ll have one made up of what we’re calling our economic development stakeholders.”

Meanwhile another new face has joined the staff at Jackson City Hall. Langborg says Brenda Fischer has been hired to oversee the city’s finances.
